Hotel Re-Openings From France to Thailand with Switzerland in Between

A number of our clients around the world are open of have re-opened their properties. Here is the latest updates. Tschuggen Hotel Group

On June 5, 2020, Tschuggen Hotel Group reopened Hotel Eden Roc. Perched on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Ascona, the property is poised for a private getaway with a prime waterfront location, secluded beach area and exclusive yacht marina. Complete with spacious suites, a spa and wellness center spanning over 21,528 square feet and four outstanding restaurants, guests can enjoy a Mediterranean-inspired vacation away from the crowds. Additionally, the group looks forward to opening the Valsana Hotel and Tschuggen Grand Hotel on June 19 and July 3, 2020, respectively, for their summer seasons in Arosa. Offering amazing secluded wellness Alpine getaways, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel boasts four remarkable restaurants, the iconic Mario Botta-designed Tschuggen Bergoase Spa and the Tschuggen Express, a private cable car providing direct access to the mountain hiking and biking trails exclusively for hotel guests. Travelers looking for a more casual stay in the charming mountain town can enjoy the Valsana Hotel. In addition to 40 rooms and suites, a spa and wellness center and locally-sourced, seasonal restaurant Twist, the Valsana also features nine private apartments, allowing travelers to enjoy their stay with minimal outside contact. Each hotel is opening with new protective protocols in place. These cover all aspects of operations, from employee and guest regulations to public area and room cleanings, as well as specific restaurant and spa measures to ensure travelers feel comfortable and safe throughout their stay.


Fregate Island

The Seychelles International airport has reopened to private jet travel with pre-approval from the Ministry of Health. Visitors and residents flying into the Seychelles will undergo a two week quarantine at their destination. Fregate Island has also been accepting private jet travel, the first luxury destination in the Seychelles to do so. Fregate Island has always been COVID-19 free and intends to remain a safe environment by following the Seychelles Health Authority’s advice and recommendations. The private island is operating at a limited capacity with a maximum of 28 guests. This includes the operation of eight villas as well as Banyan Hill Estate. The villas (starting at 4,300 sq ft) provide plenty of space and airing, and all come equipped with their own pools. The Fregate Island team has been further thoroughly trained on the importance of handwashing and social distancing and are undergoing regular medical checks by the island’s resident nurse. Hand sanitizing dispensers are located in all guest and staff areas, and there is an increased frequency of the island’s cleaning schedule with regular cleaning of all areas including common contact surfaces such as door handles and tabletops. The island’s restaurants will maintain six feet distances between tables and guest facing team members will wear personal protective equipment while they work including massage therapists, personal assistants and all staff that has guest interactions. Additionally, Fregate Island offers island buyouts for guests who wish to have the hideaway to themselves while enjoying unique flora and fauna, and some of the world’s rarest plants, reptiles, insects and birds.

The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui

Re-opened in early June, The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui is nestled within a private bay on the Gulf of Thailand and sits upon 58 acres of a former coconut plantation. The property features 175 suites and pool villas overlooking the turquoise waters and extensive oceanfront, seven outstanding culinary experiences, a Muay Thai Gym, and temperate Swim Reef with over 50 species of fish for guests to enjoy on an exclusive, remote holiday. The property also boasts expansive outdoor facilities, including two private white sand beaches, a resort pool and watersports center. Spa Village Koh Samui rounds out the remarkable offerings with a 40,900 square foot sanctuary anchored in the healing culture of the region.


Maisons Pariente

Maisons Pariente, a luxury collection of family-owned French hotels is delighted to announce the summer opening of two of their boutique five-star hotels in Provence and Saint-Tropez. Hotel Lou Pinet in Saint-Tropez will open in late June and Hotel Crillon le Brave will open its Provençal doors in early July following a refurbishment to 20 rooms, showcasing a refreshed look for the summer season. Boasting original bohemian Saint-Tropez charm, Hotel Lou Pinet will re-open to guests and locals alike on June 25 2020. Located five minutes from the Place de Lices nearby the region’s most sought-after beaches, the five-star hotel offers guests 34 spacious guest bedrooms and suites bathed in natural light with private gardens, the popular Beefbar Restaurant, two bars, a Tata Harper Spa and a large emerald green swimming pool privately concealed away from the lively surroundings of Saint-Tropez. Following its annual closure and full redevelopment, the five-star Hotel Crillon le Brave is set to re-open its doors to guests on July 2 2020. Nestled within a village eponymous of the Vaucluse region, the hotel offers guests 34 rooms and suites, comprised of 16 rooms and 18 suites, which have been refreshed for the season. The hotel reception area, public spaces and outdoor pool overlooking surrounding vineyards and picture-perfect Provençal countryside have been exquisitely presented with the help of French designer and decorator Charles Zana. Crillon le Brave is proud to present a new selection of menus and delicious dishes to choose from with the help of the up and coming talented young chef Anissa Boulesteix.
